Poor Communication: The outsourced
companies would send lots of emails but
did not address the issues, in the end
it was ‘phone tag’ with email. This lead
to deadlines being missed. On top of
this certain companies would not respond
to emails for up to 2 weeks at a time |
|
24 hour response, 365 days per year, no
exceptions. Any request is addressed in
this period. KolWeb utilizes all forms
of communication to ensure prompt
service e.g. net telephone support,
telephone, email. |
|
|
No
direct contact with programmer: The
outsourced companies would always deal
with a ‘middle man’ to give design input
(even though the work was not
subcontractor to a 3rd Party). This led
to an inefficient process, as invariably
the contact person was not able to
clearly transfer the requirements to the
developer team. Again leading to
miscommunication and delays.
|
|
Direct contact with the
developer on the
project via regular meetings and reviews
on a real-time basis. |
|
|
Inconsistent Systems: The outsourced
companies had ad-hoc systems in place,
which led to inconsistencies in Project
Management and quality of work. |

KolWeb has developed the KolWeb
Management System (based on ISO
9001:2000 Quality Assurance guidelines)
to ensure every single customer
requirement is addressed. KolWeb has
simple, effective tools to track every
single design element to completion, to
track any open inputs, record customer
interaction and action items. |
